The Indian shuttlers competed in the pre-quarterfinal stage of the Arctic Open Super 500 tournament in Vantaa, Finland, on Thursday.
Indi had seven representatives in the round of 16 with five shuttlers in singles and one each in women's and mixed doubles categories. Lakshya Sen and Kiran George played out in the men's singles category.
On the other hand, Malvika Bansod, Unnati Hooda, and Aakarshi Kashyap were in action in the women's singles category.

The Indian mixed doubles pairing of Sathish Kumar Karunakaran and Aadya Variyath exited the Arctic Open in the round of 16, losing in straight games to the Chinese pair of Cheng Xing and Zhang Chi.
