The pre-quarterfinal action concluded for India at the 2026 All England Super 1000 tournament in the Utility Arena in Birmingham on Thursday.
Lakshya remained unbeaten, following his first-round upset victory over top seed Shi Yu Qi with a three-game win over Hong Kong's Ng Ka Long Angus in the round of 16.
In the mixed doubles, the pairing of Dhruv Kapila and Tanisha Crasto had an unfortunate end as the pair was forced to withdraw due to Dhruv's back injury.

Lakshya targets his first win against Ng Ka Long
This is the fourth meeting between Lakshya Sen and Ng Ka Long Angus, where the former is trailing by a 0-3 head-to-head record.
However, this will be their first meeting in 3 years since the 2023 Malaysia Masters, where Long won the match in straight-games, 21-14, 21-19.
Lakshya will be high in confidence after knocking out the defending champion in the first round and will now aim for a deep run in the tournament.
