2023 World Athletics Championships: Neeraj Chopra won gold in the Javelin final to give India a first ever gold medal in the history of the World Athletics Championships. This is India's only medal from the 2023 edition and the third overall after Anju Bobby George's bronze in 2003 and Neeraj Chopra's silver in 2022.
The men's relay team finished 5th and Parul Chaudhary finished 11th in the steeplechase final.

Javelin Final: Throwing Order
All 12 javelin throwers will get 3 attempts each, after that only top 8 will get further 3 attempts.
Order of throw for each thrower will remain same in first 3 attempts. Neeraj is 4th, Manu 8th and Jena 11th.
