Watch: Amid lockdown Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju inspires people to stay fit
As Indian are forced to stay indoors during the nationwide 21-day lockdown, Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju inspired people to stay fit by promoting the #FItIndiaChallenge.
India is under a 21-day lockdown to fight the Coronavirus pandemic. With people stuck at their home Union Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju has reminded people to stay fit. The minister posted a tweet saying that the Sports Authority of India (SAI) is promoting the #FitIndiaMovement. He said that people should not forget the importance of staying fit even as they are working from home during the Covid-19 lockdown.
Kiren Rijiju shared his clip of skipping rope and urged everyone to follow it.

"We all are working from to prevent the spread of coronavirus but sitting at home, we should not forget the importance of staying fit. Rope skipping is an easy exercise that everyone can for at least 2-3 minutes in a day so that we can promote Fit India campaign while you continue to fight against corona." the minister added.
After his appeal, many other fitness enthusiasts and sports personalities showed support by doing the rope skipping exercise and supporting the #FitIndiaMovement.
Five-time World Champion Mary Kom took the challenge and also posted her video on twitter.

Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty who is also a Yoga and fitness enthusiast shared a video of her husband Raj Kundra skipping and asked everybody to take up this challenge and contribute to fitness.

Boxer Lovlina Borgohain, who had qualified for the Tokyo Olympics through Asian Qualifiers has also shared her video and appealed to everyone to stay fit in these difficult times.
