Para-athlete Sharad Kumar pledges Rs 1 lakh for fight against coronavirus

In these difficult times, people stepping up and helping the people in crisis has been an encouragement for the whole nation and when it comes to the sports persons, they have never shied away from taking the charge.

Indian para high jumper, Sharad Kumar is no different when it comes to helping the government in curbing the worsening situation of coronavirus spread. He donated one percent of his net worth, which is one lakh to the cause.

The former world number one is also a silver medalist in World ParaAthletic Champion in the year 2017. At the 2014 Asian Para Games, he won gold in the high jump, breaking a 12-year Asian Games record.

He is now part of the list of a lot of sports icons who led their hand and contributed in this situation of crisis.
