India's Neeraj Chopra qualified for the 2026 Diamond League final on Thursday, having accumulated a total of 12 points in the standings.
Chopra, a two-time Olympic medallist, currently stands sixth in the standings, having competed in two Diamond League meets this season.
He had finished fourth at the 2026 Diamond League meet in Doha with a throw of 85.69m in June, before recording a season best 88.05m at the Lausanne meet in August earlier this month to finish second.
The two meets were enough to earn Chopra a spot at the 2026 Diamond League final, which will be held on 4-5 September in Brussels, Belgium next month.
The others to have qualified for men's javelin throw at the 2026 Diamond League final include Rumesh Pathirage, Anderson Peters, Keshorn Walcott, Curtis Thompson, and Julius Yego.
With Chopra slowly clawing back to best since his heartbreak at the 2025 World Athletics Championships last year, the 2026 Diamond League field will be a tough test for the Indian as he looks to reclaim his Diamond League final title from four years ago.
