Gujarat athlete, ex-junior champion, loses life in road accident
Track and field athlete Kashvir Vasani from Gujarat, who was once lauded for his performance in the junior level met with an accident and breathed his last near Jaipur.
As per reports, the 25-year-old former junior athlete was travelling in their Bolero pick-up van toRajasthan to sell guava with two other youngsters. On their return, the trio met with an accident after their vehicle rammed a truck near Jaipur on Sunday.
Vasani was hailed as a child prodigy, who set the track on fire with his initial exploits. He was known as 'Bullet Train' for his timing and energy.

"As they get a high price for their produce, the villagers of Ranpur in Botad district sold their fruits in Rajasthan. While Kashvir and his friend Aakash died on the spot, another friend Pravin succumbed to his injuries on way to the hospital," Kashvir's childhood coach Munnaf Bukhari told Ahmedabad Mirror. During the age of 13, Vasani shot into the national limelight with his record-breaking, 1:22.40 seconds run in the 600m at National Inter District Junior Athletics Meet (NIDJAM) in 2015. However, his talent virtually faded into oblivion.
