He achieved an 80.57m mark in his second attempt and is currently leading the pack.

First track event of the evening session is women's 400m hurdles final at 6:20 PM IST

R Vithya Ramraj will be the favourite in this event, who is chasing a long time unbeatan national record of 55.42s, held by veteran sprinter PT Usha.
