Animesh Kujur, Tejaswin Shankar target National Records at 2026 Fed Cup.
Indian star sprinters and quarter-milers were in quest for gold medals on the second day of the 2026 Senior National Federation Cup in Ranchi on Friday.
Indian national record holders, Annu Rani in women's javelin and Tejaswin Shankar in men's decathlon, were also fighting for their place at the 2026 Commonwealth Games.
The 1500m finals, Women's Shot Put, Women's Long Jump and Women's Pole Vault finals champions were also crowned on the day.

National Record holder Baranica Elangovan will be in action and will be hoping to improve her own national record for the third time this year.
She has also improved the Indian national record twice this year, with a 4.22m jump at the Indoor National Championships and 4.23m jump at the Indoor Open Pole Vault Tournament.

The national record holder, Tejaswin Shankar, will be in action in the 9th event of the Decathlon Programme.
He has been on an impressive run so far in Ranchi, collecting the career best first day points of 4511 Points combined with a decent performance on second day's morning session.
He has 6751 points right now after 8 events and is on par to breach the Commonwealth Games mark of 7787 points and might even cross the elite 8000-points mark.
