Neeraj Chopra is back in India and amid branding commitments and unveiling a new automobile, he fielded questions about this career and his wedding.

The most obvious question was the one pertaining to the elusive 90m mark.

In response, Chopra mentioned that his work with the new coach has led to revelations.

He mentioned that his coach Jan Zelezny, a former Olympic and world champion, has identified errors in his technique and making modifications to his throwing routine could help him attain the 90m.

The closest that Chopra has gotten to the 90m mark was back in 2022 when he landed his javelin at 89.94m and this continues to be his personal best.

‘We fell in love’

Also, the 26-year-old was asked by India Today about his wedding, which was a closed-door event.

Chopra indicated that he and Himani Mor, a former tennis player, were acquaintances and what began as a casual friendship blossomed into love.

"But slowly we fell in love," said the star athlete.

Chopra, a two-time Olympic medal-winning javelin throw star is set to begin his season in May with the Diamond League.

This will also be the first competition since his association began Jan Zelezny, who incidentally holds the world record at 98.48m.
