India's ace sprinter Dutee Chand clinches the gold medal at the 100m event of the 5th Indian Grand Prix on Friday. The sprinter from Odisha came at the top of the podium after clocking 11.42 seconds. The 5th Indian Grand Prix in Patiala began today will see 16 events for men and women. There was speculation the event might get cancelled as most of India's middle-distance runners and the relay teams continues their respective national camps in Jablonec nad Nisou in Czech Republic. Javelin thrower Davinder Singh and women’s discus thrower Navjeet Kaur Dhillon are among the prominent names in action in Patiala.
