The Wanda Diamond League has revealed a new prize money structure for its 2025 season, offering increased rewards for athletes across various track and field events.

Under the new system, top performers in most events will continue to win up to $10,000 at series meetings and up to $30,000 at the finals.

However, select events, now called "Diamond+ Disciplines," will offer even higher payouts. In these premium events, winners can earn up to $20,000 at series meetings and $50,000 at the finals.

Each series meeting will feature two men’s and two women’s Diamond+ Disciplines, while the finals will include four men’s and four women’s premium events. The specific disciplines will be announced in the first half of 2025.

In addition to bigger rewards for top finishes, the league has also increased prize money for lower-placed competitors. For the first time, athletes finishing between 9th and 12th place will receive fixed prize amounts in all events.

The total prize pool for the 2025 season will reach $9.24 million, the largest in the series’ history.

Including promotional fees for top athletes, the overall payouts for athletes will exceed $18 million. Additionally, $6 million will be invested in services like travel, accommodation, and medical support for competitors.

The Diamond League remains committed to gender equality, offering the same prize money for men and women across all events.

With these changes, the 2025 season aims to attract and reward the best athletes in the world.
