Coronavirus: Hima Das to donate 1 month's salary to help people
Sprinter Hima Das on Thursday pledged to support the Assam government to fight the emergency situation amid COVID-19 pandemic.

The number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in India rose 17 percent since yesterday to 657, the latest data from the ministry of health and family welfare (MoHFW) shows. This is a faster increase compared to the previous 24-hour-period, when the number of cases had risen 14 percent to 562.
India’s case count has doubled over the past four days. If this trajectory continues, the number of cases could shoot up to a thousand cases in the next two days.
Notably, Das works as an HR officer in the Indian Oil Corporation apart from representing India in track and field events. one-month wage she receives from the state-owned company will be donated for this cause.
