Amitabh Bachchan sets the tone for these athletes in the fight against COVID-19

Athletes across world are trying to contribute to stop the spread of coronavirus and engage people in activities that does not include stepping out of home.

Top Indian hurdler Pushpanjali is with her mother in Raichur while Dutee Chand is in Bhubaneshwar, MR Poovama at NIS Patiala and Nayana James in Thiruvananthapuram. Inspired by Hindi movie legend Amitabh Bachchan, these athletes, a total of 10 of them, have steeped in to spread a message 'Stay indoors, Stay safe'.

As the The Times of India reports, Pushpanjali, a top Indian hurdler had called up Nityashree and worked out a plan for an Instagram video.

They made a 71-second video and showed it to the world how they are managing to stay in and keep yourself safe at all times. While talking to the TOI, the hurdler said, "There are so many athletes around the country who are unable to train because of lockdown. We miss our spikes, grounds and workouts the most. But we are all there with nation to fight the deadly virus."
