HS Prannoy takes on world no. 16 Lee Zii Jia of Malaysia in the men's singles quarterfinal. 

The two players met twice in the past and have a 1-1 head-to-head record. Prannoy prevailed over Lee in a three-setter at the Badminton Asia Mixed Team Championship in 2023.

Sindhu knocked out!

Bingjiao finishes it off with a deep smash. The 2018 Asian Games runner-up Sindhu is knocked out of the Hangzhou Games. Sindhu loses the second game 21-12 and the match 2-0. India's hope for a women's singles medal ends here.
