Asian Games 2026: Mirabai Chanu in action and more on September 23 - Schedule

India will look to build on a landmark September 22 at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games, when the country won its first gold medal and added another assured podium finish, as action continues across multiple sports on Wednesday.

India’s women’s cricket team opened the gold medal account with a 147-run victory over Sri Lanka, while the men’s badminton team secured at least a bronze by reaching the semifinals with a 3-0 win over Japan. The men’s hockey team also continued its dominant start, thrashing Sri Lanka 16-1.

September 23 brings several more medal opportunities, beginning with shooting. The women’s 10m air pistol qualification starts at 6:15 AM, followed by the final at 9 AM.

Skeet qualification also enters its third day, with the women’s and men’s individual finals scheduled for 11 AM and 12:30 PM respectively. Anantjeet Singh Naruka remains in contention in the men’s event after moving joint-top following Day 2.
