Asian Games 2026 LIVE: India head into Monday, September 21st with several medal opportunities after a productive Sunday in Aichi-Nagoya.
Elavenil Valarivan led the medal charge with silver in the women’s 10m air rifle individual event, while Suchika Tariyal assured India of its first-ever Asian Games MMA medal. The women’s cricket team also reached the gold medal match after beating Bangladesh in the semifinal.
Monday brings another packed schedule, with Indian athletes in action across shooting, MMA, swimming, hockey, badminton, table tennis, kabaddi, boxing, wushu, soft tennis and sepak takraw.
Suchika Tariyal returns to the mat at 8:00 AM IST for her women’s 60kg Traditional semifinal against Singapore, with a place in the gold medal bout at stake. India’s men begin their 10m air rifle campaign at 6:15 AM, while the women’s hockey team faces Indonesia at 9:30 AM.
The men’s badminton team takes on Bangladesh in the Round of 16 at 11:30 AM, while India’s men and women face Pakistan in table tennis, and both kabaddi teams are also in action.

SEPT 20 RECAP
It was a the Indian women's day in Aichi-Nagoya on Sunday with two silver medals in women's 10m air rifle led by Elavenil Valarivan.
Suchika Tariyal assured a MMA medal, as did the women's cricket team led by Harmanpreet Kaur, moving into the gold medal match.
The Indian women's hockey team, led by Deepika Sehrawat's eight goals, obliterated Uzbekistan 19-0, while the women's badminton team blanked Kazakhstan 8-0.
The table tennis team also registered twin wins, including a 3-2 thriller over Singapore, thanks to the heroics of reigning national champ Yashaswini Ghorpade.
There was a heartbreak in teqball with Quimcy D'Souza losing both singles and mixed doubles bronze medal matches.
Among the men, the Indian hockey team recorded a 13-1 win over Indonesia, while Rishabh Das finished 6th in 100m backstroke swimming.
