India's star batter Jemimah Rodrigues has been ruled out of the upcoming 2026 Asia Cup and the 2026 Asian Games, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) revealed on Friday.

Rodrigues, who had played a key role in India's 2025 ICC Women's World Cup triumph last year, tore her hamstring during her stint at The Hundred earlier this month.

"Jemimah Rodrigues sustained a right hamstring injury on 3rd August while playing in The Hundred in England," the BCCI said in a statement.

"The BCCI Medical Team clinically assessed her at the Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru, and the assessment confirmed a high-grade tear," the statement further read.

The selection committee has named Pratika Rawal, who was ruled out with an injury midway during India's successful World Cup campaign last year, as the replacement for Rodrigues at the Asia Cup.

The BCCI has not yet named any replacement player for the 2026 Asian Games, which will be held in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan.
