In a very notable incident in the middle of a very hectic schedule in Palembang, a couple present in the city named their girl ‘Asian Games’ to glorify her arrival as Indonesia is hosting the continental multi-sports event. For the records, Asian Games is the world’s second biggest multi-sports event and is the second time that Indonesia is hosting it. The parents admitted that the ‘historic’ moment inspired them to name their third child after the mega event. Indonesia has been a sensational host so far with banners lining the streets and Television screens showing the sports live in the majority of the restaurants. Although, her mother Vera informed that her girl would be given the freedom to change her name in the future if she wants to. On asked whether the couple was hoping that the girl would take up any sports in the future, they said, "If she has the talent and motivation we will support and motivate her." New dad Denny mentioned that ‘Badminton’ might be the discipline, considering the fact Indonesia has world class shuttlers. The 2018 Jakarta Palembang Asian Games kicked off on August 18 and will conclude on September 2. A total of 45 nations are participating in the event and more than 11000 athletes will be playing in as many as 465 events across 40 disciplines.
