https://twitter.com/TheBridge_IN/status/1031397088997908480 DEEPAK KUMAR HAS DONE IT! What fantastic shooting to overcome a widening deficit and win Silver at the end of it. Spare a though for Ravi Kumar who finished fourth and missed out on a Bronze by a whisker. https://twitter.com/TheBridge_IN/status/1031393343341821952

Shooting: Two Indian shooters have reached the finals in the first event of the day. Can we expect two medals? Remember, Ravi Kumar is riding high on confidence after a Bronze yesterday at the Mixed Team event. https://twitter.com/TheBridge_IN/status/1031376012733497344 Probably the event that is being most looked forward to as Day 2 of the Asian Game starts is that Unified Korean team will once again be making an appearance after successful diplomatic progressions between North and South Korea. The Korean Women's basketball Team will be taking over our girls in a 5*5 match. After a fantastic demonstration in Swimming by both Sajan Prakash qualifying for the finals. While the Men's Freestyle Wrestling seemed to be a little tame when it came to performances by our Indian wrestler, it was Banjrang Punia's outstandingly dominationg run at the 2018 Asiad that caught the eye. Although, additionally, it proved to be a reality check for Indian shooters as the bagful of medals at the Commonwealth Games would certainly prove nothing when it came to the Asian Games. Experience proved to be the biggest ally as the team of Abhishek Verma and Manu Bhaker failed to qualify for the Mixed Team finals of 10mt Air Pistol. That once again brought out the question as to why the team of Jitu Rai and Heena Sidhu, who have been consistent in this particular event at the World level, we overlooked. All in all, the action of Day 1 did set up a rather exciting second day for India at Asiad.
