NorthEast United will be looking for their first win in six matches when they take on Hyderabad FC in the Indian Super League (ISL) on Friday. Both defences have been suspect, having conceded 7 and 9 goals respectively in their last five. This makes it a potential goalfest, one to watch for the fantasy followers.

The Highlanders have hit a roadblock after a bright start to the campaign and have the opportunity of entering the playoff positions if they win tonight. Hyderabad FC are a place above them at 6th with 12 points. The Nizams had lost three in a row before they came back with a victory against Chennaiyin FC in their last match. The two sides have met twice before and are tied at one each.

Squad Overview

Gerard Nus will miss Kwesi Appiah for this one and will be relying on Idrissa Sylla and Luis Machado for the goals. They got an extended break of around 12 days before their last game, which means all the others are fit and ready. Ninthoi Meetei is expected to come back into the eleven following their tepid attacking display against ATK Mohun Bagan. Gurjinder Kumar may also be drafted in at left back.

For Manuel Marquez’s side, Fran Sandaza and Nikhil Poojary will miss out. A lot will now be expected from Halicharan Narzary after his brilliant brace against Chennaiyin. Marquez has hinted that he will be resting a few players. Liston Colaco may come back into the lineup to support Aridane Santana in attack. Joel Chianese also looked good in the last game and will be hoping to add to his goal tally.
