India's Jyothi Surkeha Vennam had her 2025 Archery World Cup Finals medal upgraded to silver from bronze after the gold medal winner Mariana Bernal was disqualified for violating anti-doping regulations.
The Mexican archer was disqualified under World Archery's Rule 3, leading to the revision in the medal order.
Jyothi Surekha Vennam, who had won the women's compound individual bronze, was subsequently upgraded to a silver medal. While Ella Gibson, the archer Jyothi beat for bronze, was upgraded to bronze.
Bernal's teammate and compatriot Andrea Becerra, meanwhile, went from silver to the gold medal.
Bernal had tested positive for nandrolone in an out-of-competition test in September last year. It is an Anabolic Androgenic Steroid.
"The athlete did not challenge her Anti-Doping Rules Violation (ADRV) and agreed with the consequences for her ADRV under the WA anti-doping rules as proposed by the ITA," a statement from World Anti-Doping Agency read.
