India's ace archer Deepika Kumari reaches the final of the Tokyo 2020 Test Event defeating China's Zheng Yichai 6-0 in the semi-finals of the women's individual recurve event on Wednesday. It is the first time in 2019 that Deepika has reached the final of an international event in an individual recurve category. The former world number woman archer, put up a dominating display to win the proceedings in three rounds, shooting three straight tens, making 30, while Yichai shot 29. Deepika shot seven 10s and two 9s in total. Earlier today, Deepika staged a brilliant comeback against Italy's Tatiana Andreoli to win the quarterfinal 6-5. Deepika has assured herself a medal now, and she will be eyeing the coveted gold when she plays the final later today against the winner between Korea's An San and Chinese Taipei's Tan Ya-Ting.
