Welcome to The Bridge's LIVE Blog for Archery on Day 3 of the Tokyo Olympics.
Indian men's archery team of Pravin Jadhav, Atanu Das and Tarundeep Rai suffered a crushing 0-6 defeat against superpower Koreans in the quarterfinals of the men's team archery event on Monday. The Korean trio Kim Je Deok, Kim Woojin and Oh Jinhyek dominated the show and pulled off a win by 59-54, 59-57, 56-54.
Earlier in the day, India beat Kazakhstan 6-2 to set up a quarterfinal clash. The Indians were strong, especially Atanu Das who drilled in five perfect 10s during team's easy win in the 1/8 Elimination round at the Yumenoshima Park. A win over Korea could yield India's greatest day in archery so far.
