The 2027 Women's Premier League will be held from 14 January to 7 February next year, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced on Wednesday.

It will mark the fifth edition of the franchise based women's T20 league.

All the five franchises – Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Delhi Capitals, Gujarat Giants, and UP Warriorz – have been asked to submit their retentions from the previous season by 28 September later this month.

The player auction will be held exactly a month later on 28 October, 2026 in Kochi.

Since its inaugural edition in 2023, the Women's Premier League has grown into one of the most popular cricketing leagues in the world.

Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bengaluru are the most successful teams in the league, both having won two titles apiece. Delhi Capitals have finished as runners-up in each of the four editions so far.
