The Gongadi Trisha show at Bayuemas Oval
Asked to bat first, Gongadi Trisha and her opening partner Kamalini were off to a flying start against the Scotts, scoring boundaries at will.
The scoreboard started looking ominous for Scotland, and Kamalini brought up her fifty before departing for 52 off 41 balls (9x4s).
Trisha let loose after settling down and started toying with the bowlers, hitting them to all parts of the ground.
In the 18th over, she brought up her century off just 53 balls, and her century was met with a loud cheer and roar from the Indian dugout.
She became the first woman to score a century in the ICC U19 Women's T20 World Cup.
India finished their 20 overs at 208/1, with Trisha unbeaten on 110. Sanika Chalke too made an unbeaten 29 off 20.
In reply, the Scottish innings never got going, with Aayushi Shukla and Vaishnavi Sharma applying the breaks.
While the former took four wickets, Vaishnavi also managed two scalps.
With wickets falling at regular intervals, the Scotland batting innings came to a swift end in just 14 overs, all out for 58.
Trisha, to add to her century, also picked up three wickets in her two overs.
India have already qualified for the semifinals of the U19 Women's T20 World Cup, in a quest to defend their title from 2023.
