Smriti Mandhana enters the top three of both ICC ODI and T20I rankings
Smriti Mandhana has entered the top three in both ODI and T20I rankings of ICC while Arundhati Reddy also improved.
Indian opener and vice-captain Smriti Mandhana entered the top three in ICC World rankings in both One Day Internationals and T20 Internationals.
She moved up three slots to second position in the ICC Women’s ODI Batting Rankings and is up one place to third in the ICC Women’s T20I Player Rankings following fine knocks against Australia and the West Indies over the past week.
The left-hander struck 105 in the final match of their ICC Women’s Championship series against Australia in Perth and 54 in the first match of a T20I series against the West Indies in Mumbai to headline the latest rankings update that also takes into consideration performances in the final ODI between South Africa and England in Potchefstroom.
India seam bowler Arundhati Reddy has shot up 48 places to 51st after a haul of four for 26 while Renuka Thakur has inched up from 28th to joint-26th.
In the T20I rankings, captain Harmanpreet Kaur is in the top 10 and Jemimah Rodrigues has gained six slots to reach 15th position after a fine 73. In the bowling rankings, Deepti Sharma has moved up two places to take second position in the bowling rankings and Titas Sadhu is up to 52nd.
Despite improvement in the rankings, the Indian team put a poor show against Australia in the limited over series and will look to turn it around against West Indies in the home series.
