She is the first Indian singles player to reach the round of 16 at the 2024 Asian Table Tennis Championships.
Diya faced a tough outing against Chen Xingtong of China, ending her journey at the round of 32 with a straight game (4-11, 7-11, 9-11) defeat.
Sreeja Akula will face Kuai Man of China in the round of 32 clash which is the final match of the day for Indian paddlers.
