Former world champion, Rosa María of Mexico jumps up to the top with 25.81m throw
The reigning bronze medalist and the former world champion, Rosa María Guerrero Cazares of Mexico, had a decent outing in the final as she registered the best throw of 25.81m on her third attempt.
However, she will be disappointed as she missed the 26m mark. But, she still is among the favorites to medal in this event, here in Paris.
Uzbekistan's Nurkhon Kurbanova ends with the best throw of 17.26m
The second athlete from Uzbekistan finished with a season-best of 17.26m on her final attempt.
She is currently at the top of the leaderboard after two participants finished their competition.
