The Indian para archer, ranked no.7 in the world, will face world no.9 Wu Chunyan of China in the quarterfinals of the women's recurve open category.
The match is tentatively scheduled to begin at 9:21 PM, IST.
The quarter-finals will happen tonight!
The last eight will begin at 8:30 PM, IST (tentatively).
Pooja's opponent will be revealed shortly based on results from other matches.

Sengul opens set three with a 9, follows with another poor 8! She finally managed a 9 in her third arrow!
Pooja opens her account with a 9 as well. She hits another 9. She wins the match in her third arrow with another 9!
Pooja wins set three 27-26 and also the match 6-0!
She is into the quarter-finals of the women's recurve archery event.

Sengul opens with a 7 and follows with a 6! She finishes her second set with a 9.
Pooja begins with a 9 and follows with an 8! Still in the lead though. Pooja ends set two with a 9!
Pooja wins set two 26-22 and gets another two points!
She is now 4-0 up and is one set win away from taking the game!

Good start for Pooja, in her first Paralympic games, scoring 27 whereas Sengul could only manage 24.
Format of recurve archery:
The format for recurve archery is different from compound archery.
For starters, the distance to the target is longer, 70m away, as opposed to 50m in compound archery
Although both individual categories see 15 arrows in total per competitor (3 sets of five arrows), in the recurve archery, at the end of the set, the individual with the higher score is awarded two points, and if the score is tied, both players receive a point each.
The first to reach six points is declared the winner.
