Paralympics 2024 Day 2: Indian shooters win three medals, Preethi becomes India's First Track Medalist- Highlights

Catch Highlights of Indian para-athletes' performances on On Day 2 of the Paralympics 2024 in Paris.

Several Indian athletes were in action on Day 2 of the Paralympics 2024.

The schedule includes group-stage matches in Para-Badminton and Para-Table Tennis, qualification and medal matches in Para-Shooting, Heats in Para-Rowing, and medal matches in athletics and cycling.

Tokyo 2020 Paralympic gold medalist Avani Lekhara will headline the event in Para-shooting, while Manu and Preethi Pal will compete in the finals of Men's Shot Put F37 and Women's 100m T35 respectively. 

Meanwhile, Arshad Shaik will compete in the Men's C2 3000m Individual Pursuit final in Para-cycling.

After giving a tough fight throughout, Shyam gave away his lead in the final set, ultimately losing to Comsan Singpirom of Thailand in a shoot-off in Men's individual compound archery.

World no. 1 and top-seeded Nithya Sre claimed her second victory by defeating Cai Yi-Lin of Chinese Taipei 21-12, 21-19 in the Women's Singles SH6 category. This win moves her one step closer to the knockout stage.
