India at Paralympics 

On August 29, 2024, Day 1 of the Paralympics in Paris will feature significant participation from Indian athletes.

The schedule includes group-stage matches in Para-Badminton, ranking rounds in Para-Archery, and medal events in Para-Taekwondo and Para-Cycling.

Indian competitors to watch include Aruna Tanwar in Para-Taekwondo and Jyoti Gaderiya in Para-Cycling.

The day promises a full slate of events across these sports, highlighting India's largest-ever Paralympic contingent of 84 athletes competing in 12 sports.

In the last Indian badminton fixture of day one, the mixed doubles SL3-SU5 pairing of Suhas Yathiraj and Palak Kohli lost their group stage game to French duo Lucas Mazur and Faustine Noel 2-0 (21-15, 21-9).

Women's individual recurve ranking round:

Pooja: 585 points, 7th place.

Men's individual compound ranking round:

Rakesh Kumar: 696 points, 5th place.

Shyam Sundar: 688 points, 15th place.

Mixed team compound ranking:

India (Sheetal Devi and Rakesh Kumar): 1399 points, 1st place.

Mixed team recurve ranking:

India (Pooja and Harvinder Singh): 1222 points, 5th place.
