Update: 2020-12-22 05:08 GMT

Indian tennis star Ramkumar Ramanathan on Monday beat the Mexican Cristian Rodriguez Sanchez 6-2, 6-0 to lift the UTR Tennis Pro title in Naples, Florida.

Ramkumar, who has been training in Florida, looked at ease during his final match as he cruised to the title to pocket the $25,000 prize money. This is the Indian’s third successive title in the UTR Pro circuit and his fourth in a span of just one month.

Such was Ramkumar’s dominance that the 26 year old only dropped one set in the tournament which came against Alexander Bernard of USA in the very first round.

The quarterfinals saw Ramkumar beat fellow Indian, Aditya Vashishta 6-1, 6-2 to enter the semifinals. If the quarterfinal was an easy one for him, Ramkumar had to grind a bit in the semifinal to beat Dusty Boyer of USA 6-3, 6-4.
