Parminder Singh creates record in World Rowing Indoor Championships

The 2021 World Rowing Indoor Championships is being held worldwide virtually, from various towns and cities in the world. A very unique event that has wired up ergometers from various corners of the world, by technology and software, provided by Time Team Regatta Systems for World Rowing.

There are a total of 54 events of 2000m and 500m distance, comprising of men, women and para rowers of varying age category ranging from under 19, 23 to Masters 100 + age. In the races which concluded yesterday, Indian rowers made history.

In the under-23 category, India’s Parminder Singh finished sixth in the World, turning out a time of 06:06.9, which is his personal best. This is the first time, ever, INDIA is placed at 6th place in the World Indoor Rowing Championships. Not to forget the young Mehul Krishnani Anand who finished 12th in this hard-fought race clocking a time of 06:31.4.
