UP Yoddhas and U Mumba delivered strong performances in their respective matches at the Balewadi Sports Complex on Thursday, boosting their positions in the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) Season 11 standings.

The UP Yoddhas continued their dominant run, defeating the Gujarat Giants 59-23.

This victory extended their unbeaten streak to eight matches and kept them firmly in contention for a top-two spot.

Gagan Gowda led the charge with 19 points, supported by Bhavani Rajput’s Super 10 and Sumit’s High-5.

The Yoddhas took control early, inflicting their first All-Out in the opening half and building a commanding 29-11 lead by halftime.

In the second half, the Yoddhas maintained their grip on the match. Bhavani Rajput’s do-or-die raid and Sumit’s tackle secured another All-Out.

Despite a brief fightback by Gujarat Giants’ Jitender Yadav, who completed a High-5, the Yoddhas inflicted a third All-Out and crossed the 50 point mark with seven minutes remaining.

U Mumba Defeat Patna Pirates. 43-37

U Mumba overcame Patna Pirates 43-37 in a closely contested match. Ajith Chauhan starred for U Mumba with 15 points, while Sunil Kumar contributed a High-5 in defense.

The match began with both teams trading points, but U Mumba pulled ahead with Ajith’s Super Raid and an All-Out on the Pirates. By halftime, U Mumba held a 24-14 lead.

Ajith completed his Super 10 in the second half and inflicted another All-Out, extending U Mumba’s lead to 12 points.

Despite late efforts from Patna’s Devank, who scored a Super 10, and contributions from Ayan and Sudhakar M, the Pirates couldn’t bridge the gap.

U Mumba’s key player, Sunil Kumar, played a crucial role in securing the win and keeping the Pirates at bay.

With this win, U Mumba boosted their playoff hopes, while Patna Pirates already qualified, will look to regroup ahead of the knockout stages.
