Hyderabad FC and ATK Mohun Bagan played out a goalless stalemate in their semi-final first leg on Thursday, at the Gachibowli stadium. For most of the match, it was Hyderabad FC with most of the chances, but the Mariners had their chances.
Pritam Kotal perhaps the easiest chances of the lot in the 38th minute when the defender had an open goal to tap the ball in, but his side-footed shot shook the crossbar. Hyderabad's Javier Siverio had a brilliant opportunity to get the lead in the 11th minute but Vishal Kaith was equal to the header.
On the other side, Gurmeet also made some match-saving saves, one being keeping out Ashish Rai's grounded attempt in the 52nd minute.

The referee blows the whistle as both teams were quite unlucky to come away with nothing from the match. While Hyderabad FC clearly had more of the punch in their attack, ATKMB had their moments which could have given them the lead.

Brilliant off-the-cuff thinking from Petratos who tried his luck with Gurmeet sligtly off the line, but the goalie collects the volley.

A few more minutes to go but unlike the first leg of last year's semi-final between these two teams, this time the fixture will end in a stalemate.

Manvir was put on goal after an awry header from a HFC defender and he went for goal from an acute angle, but Gurmeet made himself big and produced a brilliant stop!
