Real Kashmir

Real Kashmir defeated Neroca FC 1-0 in the I-League 2022-23 on Sunday at the Khuman Lampak stadium. It was Issahak Nuhu's strike that sealed all three points for Mehrajuddin Wadoo's team.

The first half saw a very eager Kashmir side who were on the front foot for the majority of that 45 minutes. Neroca FC were quite slow and ineffective whenever they attempted to go forward. Nonetheless, the deadlock couldn't be broken by either team at half-time.

The men in blue kept knocking on Neroca's box and ultimately were rewarded in the 53rd minute. Yakubu Wadudu put in a cross inside the box and the ball found Nuhu, who deftly passed it inside the net. Neroca goalie Poirei did get a touch on it but failed to stop it.

After conceding, Khogen Singh's team seemed more lively and switched on. They had more of the ball, while Kashmir took the back seat. Despite being more proactive, the home side failed to convert a single of their many chances.

At the end of a nervy six-minute injury time, the referee blew the whistle and Real Kashmir bagged all three points.
