WHIL: Soorma Hockey Club enters the final of WHIL- Highlights

It all comes down to the final league match of the Women's Hockey India League (WHIL) to decide who are the two finalists of the inaugural edition. 

Soorma Hockey Club and Shrachi Rarh Bengal Tigers go head to head and the result today will determine who will play Odisha Warriors in the final on January 26. 

Soorma has the advantage heading into the match with a three-point lead, but an outright win today for Bengal could put a wrench in Soorma's finals aspirations.

SOORMA HOCKEY CLUB 4-2 BENGAL TIGERS

Thanks to their first half performance, Soorma have made it to the finals of the inaugural WHIL and will play Odisha Warriors in the final! 

The match was done and dusted in the first half, with Soorma putting in three past Bengal, and added one more from the spot. 

Charlotte Englebert completed a memorable hattrick and Hina Bano scored a brilliant solo goal. 

Bengal did fight back, scoring two goals in the final quarter courtesy of Vandana Kataria and Shilpi Dabas but it was too little too late.

Englebert was initially denied by goal keeper Vidyashree but the rebound was stuck firmly only for Shilpi to clear it away!

Bengal Tigers had a very good attacking move, entering the Soorma's penalty circle to find two fierce shots on target but the Chilean goalkeeper Natalia Salvador didn't let any of them enter her goal.
