India begins Phase 2 of the FIH Men's Hockey World Cup 2026 with a formidable challenge against hosts and Olympic champions the Netherlands at the Wagener Stadium in Amstelveen on Saturday.
Harmanpreet Singh's side reached Phase 2 after finishing second in Pool D. India opened their campaign with a 3-1 victory over Wales, went down 2-4 to England and then defeated arch-rivals Pakistan 5-3 to seal their progression.
The Netherlands, meanwhile, arrive with a perfect record. The hosts won all three of their Pool A matches, beating New Zealand 5-1, Argentina 3-1 and Japan 4-1.
