Defending champions India began their title defence with a 13-1 win over Bangladesh at the Women's Junior Asia Cup 2024 in Oman on Sunday. 

Mumtaz Khan, Kanika Siwach and Deepika Kumari scored hat-tricks for India. Arpita Pal scored the lone goal for Bangladesh.
