The Indian women's hockey squad for the 2024-25 FIH Pro League was officially announced by Hockey India on Wednesday.

Salima Tete will lead the side as India will take on England in the first of eight fixtures starting from 15th February, 2025.

Vandana Katariya, following an impressive stint in the Women's Hockey India League, has made a return to the Indian team.

Savita and Bichu Devi are the goalkeepers of choice, with the defense boasting the usual names of Nikki Pradhan, Sushila Chanu, and Jyoti.

The midfield consists largely of a young set of players, spearheaded by the skipper Salima Tete, with Lalremsiami, Baljeet Kaur, and Sunelita Toppo, all making the squad.

Despite a rather disappointing WHIL with Delhi Pipers, Navneet Kaur will resume her duties for the national team as the vice-captain.

Vandana Katariya is the notable entry in the forward line alongside other national team regulars.
