Chinese defence is missing here as Abhishek swerves and scores with a lightening quick smash. The Chinese goalkeeper has no chance at all.

3rd quarter begins

India make a cricle entry but cannot utilise the chance as the ball goes out of play. Krishan Pathan is back in the goal.

India put up a better and more organised show in the second quarter and rightfully go 2-0 up in the match at half-time.

India just have come close to scoring. Gurjot has the chance of scoring after he gets a pass from Araijeet. But his effort is blocked by the Chinese players.

Raheel's shot is saved, but Uttam Singh, the former India U21 captain, swerves and scores from the rebound. India claim a 2-0 lead now in their opening Asian Champions Trophy match. 

The attack starts with captain Harmanpreet. He sends a pass from the mid-pitch. Abhishek and Raheel combine, and the latter takes a shot but the Chinese goalkeeper blocks. Uttam, preying a bit far away, grabs the chance and scores.
