Ronny Roy, Kolkata Maidan's dearest sports photographer, is no more

In these already testing times, demise of such a happy face hurts the most. We need kind and loveable people around us, especially during time and when they leave us, it becomes more burdening than ever.

Not only a known face but a loved one, Ronny Roy, the light and charm of Kolkata Maidan died of respiratory failure on Friday. A photographer who was known for his presence on the football field, he is suspected to have contracted the deadly coronavirus.

After feeling sick in the morning, Ronny da, as he is lovingly called, was being taken to the hospital in a car. However, he suffered a heart attack during the ride only.

A gem of a person, he was known for his benevolent nature in the Kolkata maidan.
