Kerala Blasters FC launches Fan Advisory Board to boost transparency
Kerala Blasters FC invites passionate supporters to join its newly formed Fan Advisory Board, providing a platform to influence key club decisions and strengthen fan engagement.
Kerala Blasters FC has revealed plans to establish a Fan Advisory Board (FAB), inviting its passionate supporters to play an active role in the club’s development.
Modeled after similar initiatives by leading football clubs worldwide, the FAB aims to strengthen the connection between the club’s management and its fanbase.
The announcement marks the beginning of a significant move for the club, focusing on transparency, inclusivity, and mutual respect.
The Fan Advisory Board will consist of 12 members, selected from Kerala Blasters’ fanbase, who will meet with the club’s management four times a year.
Topics for discussion will include club performance, ticket distribution, and fan engagement initiatives, ensuring that supporters’ opinions are taken into account when making decisions that impact the fan experience.
The club is now inviting applications for FAB membership.
Open to fans aged 19 and above, the application window is open for the next ten days.
Of the 12 board members, nine will be selected from within India, two will represent international fans, and one seat will be dedicated to a specially abled individual.
The term of each board member will be one year, with a policy in place to ensure fresh perspectives by preventing re-application for the following term.
Importantly, the FAB will not be involved in the club’s sporting decisions, such as player transfers or team selection, which will remain under the purview of the coaching staff.
The advisory board will operate independently, with meeting minutes shared publicly to ensure full transparency.
Fans can apply via the club’s official website.
