The Indian Women's League (IWL), the country's premier club competition in women's football, kicked off on January 10 with eight teams participating to fight for the coveted trophy.
Debutants Sribhumi FC and Nita FA are making their first top-flight appearance after getting promotion from IWL-2, and defending champions Odisha FC face stiff competition from East Bengal FC.
The Kolkata-based outfit have spent a lot of money on signings and are looking like a formidable unit vying for the title.
