Durand Cup 2024: Northeast United defeat Indian Army FT 2-0, Highlights

The knockout stage of the 2024 edition of the Durand Cup is all set to get underway, with Northeast United taking on Indian Army FT in the first quarterfinal, at the SAI Stadium in Kokrajhar, Assam, on Wednesday.
Northeast United have won all of their group stage games and come into the fixture as favorites as they take on the Indian Army FT.
As it happened:
A clinical performance from the men in red sees them through to the last four of this year's Durand Cup.
After an even first half, Northeast started strong in the second half, and two moments of brilliance, first from Nestor in the 52nd minute, and then a wondergoal from Guillermo in the 73rd minute was enough to see out the game.

Indian Army pushes men forward and lost the ball and the ensuing clearance sends Ajaraie through on goal and once again, he fails to convert as the keeper extends his leg and takes the ball off him!

A lob from the midfield beats the defensive line of Indian Army, leaving Ajaraie one on one with the keeper but he scuffs his shot wide of the goal!

Wow. Just wow. A 1-2 opens up the Indian Army defense on the right and Redeem, who just came on, unleashes a cross that was behind Guillermo, who flicks it from behind his body, and the ball loops into the goal!
Surely one of the goals of the tournament!
