The India U-17 team began their U17 Asian Cup campaign with a 1-1 draw against Vietnam at the Thammasat Stadium in Bangkok on Saturday. 

All four teams in the group now have 1 point each from one match. India will next face Japan and Uzbekistan as they look to make it through the group. The last four teams in this competition will qualify for the U17 World Cup.
