The Indian men's football team took on Iran in an important clash at the U20 AFC Asian Cup 2025 qualifiers in Laos.
Coming fresh from a huge 4-1 victory over Mongolia in the first game, the Indian team was looking to take on the powerhouse Iran.
As it happened:
Indian team showed good defensive resilience in the match but eventually conceded a very late goal and lost a very important point from the match.
However, they will still hope for a better result against Laos and grab the qualification for the AFC U20 Asian Cup via the five available best second-placed team quota.
India will take on the host Laos on 29th September.
Naoba and Monirul Molla replace Goyary and Kelvin for the Indian team in a double substitution.
In 60th minute, Kelvin created a good opportunity for Korou but Korou's shot was just wide while Ebindas got a yellow card in the 70th minute.
