The Indian badminton team with PV Sindhu and Kidambi Srikanth took on neighbours Pakistan in their first group stage match in the Mixed Team event and won 5-0.

The defending champions of the Mixed Team event, India, started their campaign against neighbouring nation Pakistan in the group stage.
With former World Champion and 2-time Olympic medallist PV Sindhu and former World No. 1 Kidambi Srikanth at the helm, the Indian badminton packed in a solid performance and won all their 5 matches.

India was a huge threat for Pakistan with the likes of Sindhu and Srikanth in the team as it is but the Pakistani side couldn't show as much spunk but they did show a lot of heart and put in a lot of effort!
