15-yr-old Grandmaster Nihal Sarin bags biggest sponsorship deal since Viswanathan Anand
Akshayakalpa, India’s first Organic Milk Company, announces the 15-year-old Chess Grandmaster Nihal Sarin as its Brand Ambassador to further the brand Akshayakalpa as the fast-rising young organic milk company on the global stage. Nihal is the youngest Indian ever and third-youngest player in history to break the 2600 barrier in chess. This is considered to be among the biggest sponsorship deals for an Indian chess player after Viswanathan Anand.
Mr Shashi Kumar, Co-founder and Managing Director Akshayakalpa, said:
This new relationship is timed with Akshayakalpa’s next phase of growth in India, as the Bengaluru headquartered Organic Milk company is looking to significantly expand its presence in the South Indian metros, chiefly Bengaluru and Chennai. Akshayakalpa already has a subscriber base of more than 25,000 consumers in Bengaluru who avail door delivery of the premium organic milk products.
The current Asian Continental Blitz Chess Champion will be featured in new integrated campaigns to be activated across media platforms.
Akshayakalpa Organic Milk products’ hallmark has been the superior process the organization follows for procurement of milk. Zero antibiotics and growth hormones are used, and the fodder is grown by using purely organic methods. This results in the milk products retaining all the essential nutrients as nature intended, which is key to a young child’s brain development, chiefly Vitamin B12 in the Milk, and Mega 3 Fatty Acids in the Ghee.
In the process, the company directly pays Akshayakalpa farmers 69% of the price customers pay for its Milk Products.
The prodigious Nihal Sarin, with his chess-playing skills and consistently improving results in international tournaments, communicates the key attributes of Akshayakalpa Organic Milk products aptly.
Excited about joining hands with the company, Nihal Sarin commented:
Speaking on occasion, Mr. Toni Pinto, General Manager – Finance, commented, “Akshayakalpa as a brand has now begun to expand its presence in South Indian metros, chiefly Bengaluru and Chennai. We have concrete plans to enter cities like Hyderabad in the near future. Nihal, with his fast-growing chess career, is a great way to present our brand to the Indian youth as he goes from strength to strength.”
Mr Anand Yadwad, Marketing Head, said, “Nihal already uses Akshayakalpa products, and he is a great fan of our Curd and Ghee. We at Akshayakalpa are fond of his natural talent. We are very happy about this Organic development of Akshayakalpa supporting Nihal and Nihal endorsing our products.”
